TUT converts percentage marks into achievement levels, then adds the levels of your best six subjects, excluding Life Orientation.

Which subjects count toward your TUT APS?
Your best six subjects count, using whichever six give you the highest total. Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy is counted the same way as any other subject in the standard TUT formula, though specific programmes may require Mathematics rather than Mathematical Literacy. Life Orientation is not counted, so it does not matter how high or low that mark is for your APS total.
